The LightingGale software uses a Wireless Gateway that serves as concentrator for groups of outdoor lighting fixture based sensor-controls (the iSLC wireless lighting controllers) to communicate with the central server and management system. These field mounted gateways have a radio module for communicating with the mesh network of sensors and a network link connecting to the wireless outdoor control system LightingGale management system server. The gateway communicates with the server using methods such as such as cellular radio (GPRS), Ethernet, wireless local area networks (WiFi) or wide area networks (WiMax). The wireless gateway has a universal power supply operating from 85-264VAC, 50/60 Hz, with surge protection standard. The enclosure is constructed of rugged polycarbonate, and has an IP65 rating for durability when mounted on lighting poles or other surfaces in the field.
The Wireless Lighting Gateway is required to be configured with a choice of fixture based lighting controllers, and the LightingGale lighting control management system.
